Tibor Czimmer/Czinner/Zinner ( Budapest , October 7 , 1923 – Budapest , November 29 , 1957 ) Hungarian auxiliary worker, miner, revolutionary.
His parents were Mihály Czimmer and Anna Ámon. Completed six elements. In 1940, he joined the army with early retirement. It was decommissioned in 1943, but was called up again in 1944. He escaped in the fall of 1944 and hid as a fugitive until the end of the war. From 1945, he was an assistant worker at BESZKÁRT . Tibor Zimer (Hungarian. Czimer Tibor; October 7, 1923, Budapest-November 29, 1957, Budapest ) - Hungarian worker, an active participant in the anti-communist Hungarian uprising of 1956. Executed after the suppression of the uprising. In modern Hungary is considered a hero of the revolution.
Born in a working family. After six classes of elementary school, he worked at odd jobs. In 1940 he was drafted into the army.
In 1941 he served in the sapper troops on the Soviet-German front for a month and a half. After demobilization he returned to Budapest, worked as a laborer. In November 1944 he was again called up for military service, but did not appear at the recruiting station. Hid until the end of the war.
From 1945 to 1950, Tibor Zimer was an auxiliary worker, firefighter and boxing trainer. Between 1951 and 1954 he worked on the construction of the Budapest metro. He was found guilty in an accident and fired. In 1955 he was a assistant on the railroad. In the summer of 1956 he entered the mine in the Pest district.
In October 1956, Tibor Zimer supported the anti-communist Hungarian uprising. With a group of like minded miners, he arrived in Budapest . He joined the rebel group that controlled the Sen square, which was headed by József Dudás and János Szabó.
On October 27th Thibault Zimer joined the Miner Brigade by Laszlo Rusnyak. October 31, became deputy brigade commander. He actively participated in battles with Soviet troops and local communist formations (especially the major clash was on October 28). He took part in the arrests of employees of the communist state security.
On November 4, Tibor Zimer and his fighters arrived from Budapest in Szombathely to support the city revolutionary council. Zimer was captured there by Soviet troops and sent to Uzhgorod.
In late December, Tibor Zimer was handed over to the authorities of Hungary. He appeared before the court in the framework of the process of the “Mining Brigade”. July 29, 1957 was sentenced to death. The appeal was left without consequences, the sentence was carried out on 29 November. Robert Ban, Laszlo Rusnyak, Andras Laurinets were executed along with Tibor Zimer.
In modern Hungary, Tibor Zimer is considered the hero of the revolution as one of the leaders of the Miner's Brigade.
